I first discovered footy in the early '80s when ESPN ran VFL games - I remember the absolutely awful PAL-to-NTSC conversions. ;) I rediscovered the game just in time for the finals season leading up to the 2002 Grand Final, and I've been addicted ever since - though as a bearded person, I do rather miss the days of fuzzy players like Bruce Doull, Michael Tuck, Rod Ashman and the like. (Jason Ackermanis' little goatee just doesn't quite measure up, somehow.... ;)
