My association with footy:
First saw the game on cable in mid-80s as a kid, fascinated by "the weird accents of the announcers and the strange billboards" as well as laughing hysterically everytime the umpire made a goal gesture. More recently, borne out of my passionate love for Australia and Australian things, after visiting the land down under in June and July 1999 and seeing a match in person at the MCG (Essendon-Fremantle, round 17).

I've been in a long-distance relationship with a young woman (from a family of devout Bomber barracks) from East Keilor, VIC for four years; serious for two. We are engaged and plan to get married after I relocate myself to Melbourne, possibly as early as October or November.
