Bringing y'all up to speed...NEWS IS HERE!!!

G'day footy fans...

Here's a couple of really good Footy sites worth utilising...

www.bigfooty.com
www.heraldsun.news.com.au/footy/

There's a bit of conjecture over here with regards to the revamped "Telstra" Official AFL websites, There's advertising boards at the games promoting the site as "Nothing Gets You Closer To The Game"...Pffft!!! More the exact opposite! It's a real mongrel to use and slow to load and I really pity you guys there having to rely on such an inferior service...But the sites I've provided above should prove instantaneous and a refreshing new look at footy on the web.

This weekend in Round 6 Footy action sees Collingwood jump to #2 after a strong win over the Saints where Nathan Buckley was reported for striking. Most believe Nathan will be quite safe this week...

Essendon is in serious strife with Lloyd and Hird suffering serious injury...
Hird clashed heavily in a marking contest with teammate Mark McVeigh and has seriously damaged his eye socket to the point of being hospitalised and doctors say a minimum of 6 weeks out...A plate has been inserted and he's now resting well and groggy in hospital...May have to travel back from Perth by train or car, owing to sinus pressure risks associated with flying...

As for Matthew Lloyd he has seriously damaged his ring finger after getting it caught in a jumper during a strong tackle and looks to mis 4-6 weeks...

The Plugger saga continues...His corked tigh should be right for next week...We're all waiting for him to shoot for goal at teh Lockett end of Colonial Stadium...

Akermanis suspended, McLeod Suspended Buckley maybe??? Who will take Charlie home in 2002? Your guess is as good as mine!

Acclaim are in the process of releasing AFL LIVE 2003 in August on PS2 and Game Cube...Look out for it!!!

Hope y'all are happy with that update!!!

Cheers...Seeya at Big Footy!!!
