That's true if you have a suitable internet connection but only about 20% of Americans have high speed connections. I don't know about you but I much prefer to watch the footy sitting on my couch and get away from this computer.
More importantly, fans must prepare themselves to go do battle with the AFL and TV networks to get coverage back. If we simply resign ourselves to internet service alone the other side wins and the future of footy for AFL fans here in the US will be bleak.
To build a fan base here, we need to expose more Americans on both sides of the border to footy. We can't do that by the internet. No one who isn't already a fan will pay $25 or more to see a game in poor quality over a a computer if they know nothing about it.
The goals of AFANA which were part of the first TV campaign in 1995-96 haven't changed... more footy for fans, growth of the sport by building a fan base, etc. Join the fight now!
We will get our footy in 2003
