Has anybody else noticed that Craig Willis has not been the voice over on the footy highlights the last three weeks? According to the credits at the end of the shows, the voice is now Michael Irvine. Is Craig Willis on holiday, in the hospital, no longer with the League? Maybe some of the Melbourne readers of this post have an answer. If he is gone, then he will not be the on field MC at the G, post game trophy and medal presentations at the Grand Final.
Thanks for any update.

Actually, lots and lots of people have noticed if my e-mail is any indication. When it first happened, I contacted the AFL and asked for an explanation. Of course, no one there can be bothered to respond. I'll try again this week.

If I was guessing, I'd say that he's working the Olympics, given the timing but since no official explanation has been forthcoming, we don't know. I'll post here but watch the Media newsletter for a definitive answer.

Addendum: AFL Films advises that he has, in fact, been away working the Olympics and will be back soon.

Thanks for your concern...however I was in Athens for nearly 3 weeks working at the Olympic Games, as the English announcer at the Tennis.
Was at the G for the GF and am still working at the AFL.

Thanks, Craig. Nice to have you stop by our web site. I did post a notice to the effect that you were away at the Olympics (subsequent to Brian's message to which you replied). We also let fans know thru our newsletter which covers TV schedules and Media issues surrounding Australian football in North America.

You're quite recognizable to the fans here and very much appreciated. So it didn't take fans here long to notice when you were away. Nice to see you on the GF telecast.

Hope you stop by here again.
