Why am I having such a hard time finding the AFL Live 2004 video game? I bought a PlayStation 2 just to play it, yet every time I go to a game store, the sales guys snicker and laugh at me. Why are they laughing at me? (I already know about the international zoning thing. There was an article somewhere about an American version.) First I lose the right to watch the game on T.V., and now I can't play it. Don't know how much more of this I can take. Somebody help me, please!

Hi tendollar, Welcome to the BBS.

The AFL game is not officially distributed in the US or Canada and as far as I know there are no plans to do so. A while back, the USAFL got permission to sell some copies over here but whether they can still do that, I don't know. We've seen no announcement yet of an Americanized version nor do I think it likely.

There are a number of threads about the AFL Playstation issues on this BBS. Search using the search button here or the web site search function linked at the bottom of the page to find them. In short, there is a video issue (Australian playstations output PAL tv) and a form factor issue (Australian playstation cartridges won't fit in American playstations).

Not sure what you mean by lose the right to watch it... we don't yet know where 2005 coverage will be so none of us have it or don't have it for next season. Did your cable system drop FSWLD in the past ???

Lot's of us here to help. Ask away !!!
