Anyone know where any good chat rooms are online during AFL games? Ever since I got the live audio working under Linux I like listening to the games late at night but it would be good to have a nice chatroom to discuss while stuff is going on, but the AFANA one is always empty http://www.crtc.gc.ca/archive/ENG/Decisions/2005/db2005-380.htm

Well, if there is interest by at least 2 or 3 folks in using the AFANA chat room during matches, I am happy to make an announcement to all registered users of the Chat room and we can post the info here, too.

I suspect it's empty because we don't have 1000 or 10000 registered users so if the random user logs in, he or she misses anyone else who logs in 10 mins before or after, and finding the room empty, leaves. We tried some organized chats a few years ago without success, but I am ok with trying again.

I was in there for most of the Swans game Saturday night. Wish I would have had a companion -- as the hour grew late and the score grew more one-sided, I dozed off and missed Nigel Lappin's injury.

On the plus side, I awoke listening to 3M's music programming, and would describe it as a pretty good station.

That's because the rest of us read Rob's message, and were getting sleep so we could stay up for the Swans v Hawks.
