Help - Swans fan trapped in Paris for the Grand Final!

HI everyone

I am wondering if anyone can help me. I can't believe it but the swans made the final and I am in Paris! I have searched around the internet but I havent found any info on the game being televised. I was at the 1996 final and I am devastated taht I wont be at this one (However I am on holiday in Parisso that's pretty cool!)

Can anyone help me out? Otherwise i think I am restricted to listening over the internet on a very dodgy connection

Hi Kristi,

Thanks for stopping by AFANA. I'll share what we know, for whatever help it is to you.

No French network is taking the Grand Final. The only European coverage is on Sky Sports from BSkyB in the UK. However, any establishment with an English soccer emphasis probably could get it somehow. The time in the AM will be your biggest problem.

Last year there was a party at:

Cafe Aussie (or Cafe Oz) near metro chalet, Rue de St Denis Address No. 18. However, they haven't sent us an announcement this year. If you ring them up and they are having an event this year, tell 'em to tell us!

A few other suggestions:

Check with the Australian embassy to see if they have any suggestions or know of any viewing parties in the country.
Look on the web for any links to any organizers of footy clubs in Paris or France as they may have knowledge or plans that I am not aware of.
Your fallback is the live audio feed on the AFL web site which is free but as you say, depends on your connection.

HI Rob - I just found out that cafe oz is showing it! 18 rue Saint Denis, and it's at Métro Chatelet. Apparently doors open at 6.30am - I am so excited I won't be able to sleep tonight. Go Barry Go!
