It just occurred to me. I haven't seen any State of Origin matches this season.

Did I miss them, or is Fox not showing them?

Neither, there weren't any. Due to the unusual schedule this season and the poor reception they received from the Aussie public and the AFL players last time around, the AFL decided to put the concept on hold. A recent report seems to indicate that State of Origin may not return before 2003, if at all.

their actually thinking of gettig rid of the state of origin. when victoria play south australia its just like one of the melbourne teams playing the adelaide crows so theres not much point to it anymore and plus victoria always win anyway. the afl are much more interseted in expanding the international rules seris with ireland so that will replace the state of origin.

Thanks, Nicole... you were replying to a message posted seven months ago and I know things have changed since then. We have reports on our reports page about this (if our webmaster ever gets them up to date again since our site redesign).
