Can you imagine what the American football world thought when Jim Foster came up with Arena football back in the eighties?
If you will remember the AFL (Arena ) had a hard time taking roots. I think that the PIFL will be a break through in much the same way. Not everybody will appreciate the game at the start. It will be hard to market indoor footy in the US until we can get a few major sponsors on board, but it can be done.
Rules will have to be modified to make the PIFL exciting. The ball will have to be restuctured on the inside to restict some of the bounce, much like a resticted flight softball. We may employ the use of nets. The game will remain in tact for the most part, but yet it will gain popularity.
Does anybody know what type of attendance that outdoor footy is getting in the US?
A big boost for the PIFL would be to get support from the AFL ( Aussie). An endorsement from them would help a great deal.
