Where I live, there was one match (2 hours) and one footy highlights (1 hour)broadcast per week. Each was repeated (rebroadcast) once or twice in the same week, unless prempted by whatever else Fox came up with.

It would be great if we could convince Fox and the AFL to broadcast more than one match per week, but that probably isn't going to happen soon.

Football is played worldwide using a round ball and kicking it using ones foot.
Gridiron althouth nothing to do with football is a great game,I like the tactics used to pass the ball to running players on the wing.Australian rules well well one can choose between self imposed starvation or watching these matcho aussies in tight poofie shorts I would go for thye starvation.Australia is the last bastion of redneckism inthis world and my mission in life is to tell the ordinary aussie what a arsehole he realy is and that the game that he so full heartedly cherishes is a drop in the ocean compared to round ball football.I dont like the rednecks of australia full stop

I doubt that you'd know 'redneckism' if it hit you in the face - I guess you've been belted around the head once too often by those NAZI ispired punchups that accompany every soccer game - Shees even the players get involved.

Besides your post is self contradictory - if Australia was so red neck, the Aussie Rules players wouldn't be wearing those tight 'poofie' shorts - you fond them arousing don't you and therefore a threat to you percieved masculinity - but you can admit it around here: those shorts rely realy turn you on and so do the guys who wear them.

If God wanted sports to be played without using our hands, he would have given us four feet.

Watch a game of footy once in awhile. You will see the ball being passed to players running on the wing. Unlike American football though (gridiron), in footy you can also kick the ball to players running on the wing.

As for the rest of your message, your English is so bad that I have a hard time understanding it.

By the way, I was wondering if ferich is german for ferret (a weasel-like mammal)?

Hi Nicole. It looks like you are replying to one of Deni's messages. We don't think he is an American. I don't know any American who would ever say anything bad about Australia.

I agree. I have been to Melbourne and LOVED it. I would move there if my wife would let me.

For the past two seasons, FOX has shown a 2 hour "Match of the Week", ususally aired first on the Tuesday evening following the previous weekend matches and a one hour highlight program, usually aired first on Wednesday. The two shows normally featured different matches.

More info is available on our TV pages.

Hi Katherine,

Thanks for stopping by AFANA. We are strictly an Aussie rules fan and promotional site and don't do anything with NRL. Frankly, we have our hands full with AFL and even if we wanted to, we don't have either the staff or the resources to do it.

My best recommendation is to go to the FOX Sports World web site, download the TV schedules (Adobe PDF format) and search for rugby listings. They also have a bar and pub listing there of places that carry FSWLD and that would be where to start. You can also search on line for a Las Vegas based rugby club and contact them, if they exist.

BTW, you replied to a 4 year old message. :)
