footy audio Monday, 1 April 2002, at 9:37 p.m. US Eastern Time

if you want to hear footy on the internet try www.3aw.com.au, im not sure if it will be free becuase of the afl but i know you can listen to the other shows on the station free on the net. its worth a try because 3aw have the best footy callers especially rex hunt, he will have you laughing for hours cause of the way he calls and the nicknames he has for the player like the orange ruffy (leppisch) rocca-by-baby (sav & anthony rocca) nice'n'neitz (david neitz) kouta-fida-mides (kouta) hot'n'sticky (trent hotton) lap, lap, lappin (nigel & matty lappin) chick-a-dee (daniel chick) the bolt (glenn manton) and there are many more. hopes this helps you guys get coverage of the afl cause i know i wouldn't be able to survive without it.

I love Rex Hunt too. A couple years ago an AFANA survey asked who had been the best host of the footy broadcasts over the years. I think the choices were Steven Quartermain, Rex Hunt and Gerald Healey. I voted for Rex Hunt because of his sense of humor, but was out-voted. I'm not sure who won, but I think it was Steven Quartermain. If I am wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me. But I still like Rex Hunt the most.

Yeah, I miss Rexie from the FSW shows. Steven Quartermain is an good addition to this year's US coverage.

But, I don't think Robert Walls is as good as Timmie Watson was for the 'expert' commentary.

What do the rest of you think? k?

Whie I have always found Rex amusing, so far, I am not overly impressed by some fo the commentary from the new coverage. Maybe I just haven't seen enough yet.

But.......

BRING BACK BRUCE!!! He was the best.

footy just isn't right without rex, the 3aw team is the best but i do miss gary lyons expert comments. Bruce was good but he would drive me crazy when he did essendon games because he was in love with hird! and the whole team. I like Steve Quartermain has grown on me, he does sport on the local channel 10 news so we see a lot of him. i think rob walls does a good job and i like him a lot mainly because his a carlton man.

I didn't hear Rex much as 3AW required Windows Media which I didn't have.
Did you that Bruce actually barracks for teh Kangaroos?
Steve is OK and I agree that Walls is very good as a special comments person.
But my fave is still Bruce!! I loved his way of goinng absdolutely bonkers during intense passages of play.
I also really liked Drew Morphett, who was sacked by Seven at the end of 2000. maybe he can get a gig now that Lane has quit Nine.

I'm pretty sure that bruce is a crows supporter, cause he grew up on adelaide. i have to admit that bruce is pretty exiting when he goes nuts but i dont think we will ever hear him on tv again cause he has to many other committments at channel 7 to leave them.
