With a glass of wine at hand to ease the pain, I've finally made my Round 17 picks.
Should have gone with the home teams. Favorites fall. 5-3 won both Round 16 tipping competitions, and it wasn't me.
Round 16 tipping is pretty much a coin flip. How should one approach making the choices?
Sometimes you do alright when you make picks using a coin.
Footy Tipping in 2008: Flip a coin, take a deep breath, and make a call. The faint-hearted should wear a blindfold.
Why is tipping so challenging this year?
If Barry Hall had used his shoulder to knock down Wakelin would the referees taken notice?
As this article in the Courier Mail (and other newspapers) notes ESPN recently had fun with the Barry Hall incident in the AFL. Sadly, this is not the kind of attention that really helps the sport here in North America. It simply reinforces the stereotypical image of footy that we need to move beyond.
