ANZAC Day in San Diego

If anyone in the San Diego area is interested, here is an invitation:

The Australian Military Community of San Diego cordially invites you to an ANZAC Commemorative Service on Wednesday 25th April 2007 commencing 10.00 am on board the ex-USS Midway, San Diego,  followed by a reception at The Bondi Bar & Kitchen, 333 Fifth Ave, San Diego.

Dress: Civilian Business Attire or Service Dress with Medals/US Class A

RSVP:
By 12.00 Noon Friday 20th April 2007 to LCDR Carl Oberg on
(619) 556-1124 or Carl.a.oberg.au@navy.mil

The following is a message from a LT Commander Andrew Sleeman, Royal Australian Navy who is based in San Diego:

"As opposed to previous years when the service was held on the military base (and was a rather 'closed shop' affair), we are holding this year's service on the ex-USS Midway so it is open to everyone.  One needs not be ex-military to attend, just a willing participant.  All I ask is that whoever you let know, please ask them to RSVP to LCDR Carl Oberg (e-mail above). This helps us plan better for numbers on the day.  Cheers, Andrew."
