After a "premature" announcement last week, it is now official, Setanta Sports will soon be available to viewers who have Verizon's FiOS TV fiber optic based TV service.  A press release was issued today by Setanta which said the following, in part:  "Setanta Sports ... today announced the upcoming launch of Setanta on Verizon FiOS TV,...  Setanta will join FiOS TV’s extensive lineup, FiOS TV is currently available to over 6.5 million homes in 13 states... Setanta Sports will soon be available to FiOS TV customers for only $14.99 per month.  ...  'Setanta will be a great new addition to our channel lineup, giving our customers a front seat to some of their favorite sports,' said Terry Denson, vice president – FiOS TV content and programming.  ...  For more information about how to order Setanta Sports and to learn more about Verizon FiOS TV, visit www.verizon.com/fiostv "  Verizon has a release with their confirmation posted here. 

This means that Setanta has finally broken through and gained distribution on a major cable distributor.  Hopefully further deals are not far behind.  AFANA looks forward to reports from fans with FiOS on when Setanta Sports is available in their area.  AFL coverage on FiOS systems will be identical to that on our current schedules (same times. same dates) (see the TV schedule pages).  We will be updating our TV pages soon with this information.
