Seeing the Grand Final in Detroit, Michigan?

by blackdiamond — Fri, 2007-09-14 15:56 — Last Updated: Fri, 2007-09-14 15:59

I have just moved to Detroit on a permanent basis and would like to know where I will be able to see the AFL Grand Final?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Scott

Is there a bar in detroit

Is there a bar in detroit that televises the footy on a weekly basis, not just the final?

Start with the Setanta Venue Finder

Pending specific answers from others on this forum, I'd suggest starting with the links to the Setanta Venue Finder on our TV Info page (follow link to the right for "General Info on TV Coverage" and look down to the next to last paragraph).

You might also consider starting with the ones who show the Grand Final... they are more likely to consider it.

Any pub which carries Setanta should be able to put it up for you but to get them to do it on a regular basis might require you to get a friend or two to come along and be regular patrons.  Don't worry if they don't know what the sport is -- just let them know what channel you want to see and go from there.   Good luck.

Suggestions

Check the list of suggestions at the bottom of the main Grand Final Party listing page (click thru from the home page article), in particular the Setanta Venue Finder.   So far, we don't have a Grand Final party listing for Detroit and frankly haven't had one for some years.  We do occasionally get one for Windsor, though.   We get most of the listings in the last week or so before the big game so keep checking.    Good luck.
