The exciting part of the marking contest is knowing that the defender is backing into an oncoming forward, this takes courage knowing you are about to get crunched for all you're worth. The skilled forward uses the defender to gain leverage and height, a feat made more difficult by the 'hands in the back' rule. Here Lloydy times his leap to land on the defenders back, just as the Eagle defender starts to leap, giving added lift in the ride up.
