Search Help

(Your search results follow this help message)

Don't include common words such as  the, and, or  for.  You'll get way too many hits. Similarly including vs. or versus will get that searched for.  Leave these words out unless you only want pages including that term.
All words must be at least 3 characters in length or will be ignored.  Partial words are ok, the search engine can find words that start with those letters, so ton will find tony, tons, tonto, etc.

Searching for terms like AFL, football, rules, club, photos, pictures, or Australian aren't specific enough by themselves so be sure to include other more specific terms to narrow your search.  The more terms and the more specific they are the better your results will be.   If you want to just peruse "AFL photos" or "pictures" then click on our Gallery links in the menus or the picture on the right side or search using the "Gallery" tab below.

Spelling matters.  If you search on "jresey" or "essesdun" or "laegue" or "gernsey" or "Corws" don't expect to find much.  Capitalization doesn't matter.

If you want info on a specific AFL club you can go to our Sitemap (see link on sidebar column or top drop down menu) and look for your club, click on that link and get every story we have related to the club.  We do not have much info on clubs in regional Australia yet.   If you want to search by "topic" or "tag" (for example "television"),  try the "Taxonomy" tab below and you can search for content which has been tagged by that term.   When reading full articles you can use the "Quick Find" block on the right sidebar to look for content related to the story you are viewing.  We also have a topically driven
guided search engine here.

This isn't Ask Jeeves.  Putting a question or an entire sentence in the search box may not help.  All of the extraneous words will get searched for, too.
We do not have archives of the entire history of the AFL here.  We're not the place to research the goals scored in the VFL in 1946 or similar info.  Sorry.

Finally, this is an Australian football web site.  We don't have info on soccer, ring tones, airports, the NBA, or whatever. Just Aussie rules and related subjects.
