The following is the time line for the the Grand Final day events including key times for match and TV related activities.   All times are listed first in Australian AEST and then in US EDT.  This is based on information from the AFL, AFANA, staff member Johnson Leung, press reports and past history. Memories Of 1977 Drawn Grand Final

Collingwood opened the 1977 season strongly, winning their first seven of the first nine games. North was almost as good, losing just three games in the same period. One of their wins was against Collingwood.  read more »

2010 Draw Recalls 1977

The 2010 Grand Final is only the third drawn Grand Final in League history. Ironically, Collingwood was involved in that one as well. In a good omen for St Kilda, Collingwood lost the replay to their opponent North Melbourne who won just their second Premiership since entering the competition in 1925.  read more »

Grand Final Entertainers and Presenters Announced

Powderfinger to rock the MCG

The AFL has revealed the pre-match entertainers and award presenters at the 2008 Grand Final pre-match entertainment at the MCG on September 27. Brisbane band Powderfinger will headline the pre-match entertainment at the MCG, and then join Pete Murray for the post-match entertainment in front of 4300 corporate guests at Centre Square, the corporate hospitality village located on Punt Road Oval.  read more »
