Profile changes and contact e-mails

E-mail messages sent from the system to specific users will now include the user’s names in the To: field of the e-mail; Users should note that it is highly advisable to update your profile (see “My account” link in sidebar) since it now allows separate fields for your First Name and Last Name or surname.  read more »

Changes to comment system - titles on replies

Comments and replies on the web site now have their titles automatically entered as “RE: the title of the preceding comment or the page / story inserted here”. The titles are still fully editable however and users can change the title to whatever they wish.  The "RE" will only be inserted once and in subsquent replies will not be added again.   We encourage you to keep the title relevant to your comment and change it if appropriate.   read more »

Hi all,

To let everyone know... you can do "quoting" when you reply to topics and comments on the forums.  I also fixed a problem that caused "smileys"  not to work.  Thanks to Bob for bringing that to my attention.

Favorite AFL clubs

I've modified the user profiles so you can now specify one or two favorite AFL clubs as part of your profile.  Just go to "my account" and change your Profile Information.

Welcome to the new BBS.  This section will be for posting of informational notices and policy annoucements and such.

I know many of you want to know if the "old" messages will be moved here and I want to assure you we are working on that.  However, because of the very old data structure of the Footy BBS on the old AFANA site, it is a major and separate effort to get them here but we're going to try.  Stand by for more on this as we progress.
