Emerging Essendon defender Tate Pears, played a 'blinder' of a match , holding troubled Blues forward, Brendan Fevola to a couple of goals in Friday nights all important clash. Not only did he cramp Fev's playing style, Pears also ran off the front man to play an important role in Essendon's forward assualt. For his efforts Tate Pears received the Round Thirteen 'nab Rising Star" Nomination.
