All Australian, leagues MVP, and now Brownlow Medalist, Gary Jnr has now achieved something that his famous father, Gary Ablett Snr never acheived in his stellar career.
The man simply known to all Geelong fans as 'god' was unable to be present on the night but congratulated his talented son by phone after the presentation.
Ablett lead the way from early on and by round 18 had an unassailable lead and went on to amass a huge 30 points despite missing 3 games mid season.

2008 Brownlow winner Bulldog Adam Cooney and fiance Haylea MacCann. Earlier this year Cooney proposed to her - offering a burger ring, Hayley accepted and now has a bird cage on her engagement finger. Not sure what happened to the burger ring.
