Adelaide got off to a flying start in Round One against the Gold Coast and finished the day with a 69 point victory to capture their first points for the 2012 season. West Coast has lost only one game of its last 12 and continues to be the surprise package of the 2012 home and away season. The Adelaide Crows have been struggling and faced their worst finish in the club’s history with only seven wins. Bulldog Coach Rodney Eade contacted the AFL Umpire Department after the match against North Melbourne to discuss the incidents between Barry Hall and the North Melbourne players. He said Hall deserved more protection from the umpires and pointed out that Hall was denied several free kicks which should have been awarded. Umpire Director Jeff Gieshcen said that Hall did deserve a free kick after Scott Thompson knocked him over.  read more »
