Well, as advertised (advertized) in my last entry, I finally made the decisions needed to submit my NAB AFL Tipping ticket for Round 15.  Eight decisions.  Some easy to make, but perhaps not correct.  Some difficult to make, but perhaps correct.  We will need to wait until Sunday night (Perth time) to find out.

Carlton v St. Kilda:  First up on Friday night (Melbourne time) is the Blues and the Saints.  This year I love both teams.  Snyder will be back for the Saints and has done a good job this year. However, I went with the Blues.  Rationale:  Judd, Fevola, Stevens, Gibbs, and No. 3 (can't recall his name).  The Come-Back Kids.  If it is close at the end of Quarter 3 I believe the Blues will out-play the Saints in Q4 and win.  Could go either way, so I went with an 5 point margin.

Collingwood v Adelaide:  Went with Collingwood; even with Rocca out and Burton in.  Love both these teams, too.  I have believed from the beginning that Collingwood has a very competitive team, a stand-out coach (Malthouse), and a desire to get into the top 4 as displayed last week against the Swans.  I don't believe Burton, Douglas, Johncock, and Goodwin can travel and take the Pies in the MCG. (Crows do have the capability to beat the Pies.)  Again, could go either way.

Geelong v Freemantle:  Geelong.  Heck of a team this year and they are at Skilled Stadium for this one.  Feemantle must travel.  (No coin needed.  But, is it a good pick?)

Essendon v Brisbane Lions:  Again, I thought all along that the Lions with Bradshaw back and Leigh Matthews at the helm is a solid performing team. And they have proven that in 2008.  Although I know the Bomber players by sight better than the Lions players, the new Bomber coach is still infusing his new offense.  Fletcher will be in there defending and Lloyd, Laycock and Lucas will be playing.  But, so will J. Brown, Bradcock, and Merrik.  Love the Bombers, but went with the Lions even though they travel.  (Didn't flip a coin, but went with my gut on this one.)

Port Adelaide v North Melbourne:  The big question for me here is, "Which Kangaroo team will show up?  The giant killers or the stumblers?"  Don't particularly like the Power after they beat my Lions in the 2004 Grand Premier, and Burgoyne(sp) is out with Harvey and Grant in.  Went with the Kangaroos.  Definitely a 50-50 on this one.  Roos should win, but the Power has the power.

Hawthorne v Sydney Swans:  Well, this was a tough one for me, and Coach Roos.  I am a Swans fan, but the Hawks have a really good, maybe great, team and are playing at home.  The Swans will travel and have all this Barry Hall distraction.  The Swans have proven they can win without Hall (and if I were the Swans' general manager Hall would be traded (but then I would have traded Reggie Jackson, too and look what he did for Oakland)) but in the final analysis I picked the Hawks.  Hopefully, I will be wrong and the Swans will win this one.

Western Bulldogs v Melbourne:  I believe the Doggies have an excellent team and that the Demons have an improving team.  But, to me this is a 'no brainer' and I went with the Doggies.  Love Johnson, Akermanis, Cooney, Robert Harvey, and the crew.  But, remember the Lions in Round 14.

West Coast Eagles v Richmond:  I went with Richmond even though this game will be played at the Subiaco.  Kerr will not be playing due to a bad knee and the Eagles are in disarray.  Richards will probably play, but will not be at 100 percent.  The teller, to me, though is the attitude of the Eagles' coach.  He must be a believer and not publicly comment on how is team is dis-organized.  Well, Coach, organize them!  The Demons were dis-organized too, but changes were made and they are no longer an easy push-over.

This being Thursday evening EDT, Friday morning Sydney time, I'll know how well I did in about 56 hours.

PS.  Don't base your picks on my selections.  Flip your own coins.
