What a day!!

Well hey there peoples. In particular any Eagle fans out there.
The grand final was fantastic, if not extremely stressful towards the end. I was on the edge of my seat and i do not remember how i got in the air after the final siren, and that is not because of any alcohol comsuming! I actually had a mild asthma attack from screaming & yelling so much or at least trying to - every time i did i would start coughing and having difficulty breathing.
Everyone was dancing around the room clapping and cheering, and no there were no Sydney supporters invited- especially after last year, imagine if that happened again. This year we had tears of joy, of course we had to stop that quickly as it would ruin our face paint.
My personal best moment was (after winning) seeing Chris Mainwaring (former number 3 and eagle legend) interview the players in the rooms, in particular Ben Cousins (number 9, former captain).
Both my favourite players!!! And they hugged. I would have loved to be in the middle!! lol.
Anyway today i heard a rumor that Ben Cousins could regain the captaincy next year (after  giving it up at the begining of this year in controversial circumstances to Chris Judd- the new number 3).
I really must say i hope that does happen. While Juddy has been a good captain, Cuz has remained in a leadership role anyway, it would have been far more satisfying (for me anyway) to have seen Ben up on the stand holding the cup with Woosha, after all the hard work and the time he has put in to the club. While Woosh got him up there pretty quick, its not the same. Of course Juddy's great but sentimental favourite would have to be Ben!!!
As for all the swans supporters saying '1 more minute and we would have won' I am seriously sick of hearing that. They had 4 minutes and couldn't do anything. Having watched the game again (and again - i really do have a life) The Eagles were  far more deserving of the win, they out played them and should have won by 6 or so goals really. Sydney were very lucky to be so close and if they had come over the top they would have completely stolen it.
Thankfully that did not happen and i can continue to celebrate!!! Oh yeah.
