Hi, I am a fanatical Collingwood supported, and my husband barracks for the Cats, and we will be holidaying in LA during the Round 24 blockbuster on 3 September (Oz time) and were wondering if there were any sports bars or pubs anywhere around LA that we could watch the game, either live or delayed? I have checked out all the forums about being able to watch via the internet, but were wondering if there were any other ways we might be able to see this game??

Thanks

Hi Kristilee,

At this time, we do not yet have confirmed coverage information for Round 24.  We expect that pretty much any day.  Regardless, we do not expect it to be live via any other means except via the internet in the US. Sports bars could air it only by redirecting a computer feed to a TV which is unlikely.  The game will be on the internet via either ESPN3.com or LiveAFL.tv.

Your best bet is to determine if the location where you plan to stay can access ESPN3.com live events via their internet connection.  Without knowing the internet service provider for the location there is no way I can tell you whether that provider allows access to ESPN3.com live events.  There is no charge for ESPN3 but each internet provider must reach an agreement with ESPN and only half have done so.  If ESPN3.com does not have the game it will be on LiveAFL.tv.

If the game is on LiveAFL,tv you can reach that from any internet connection but it requires a subscription fee about US$6.00.

We will post the TV schedule for Round 24 soon.  Feel free to stop back and check with us in a week or two.
