White not exactly a milestone, it is interesting to note that Hawthorn's Lance "Buddy" Franklin broke a Hawthorn record in Round Six. Former Hawk star Dermott Brereton kicked 464 goals in 211 games for Hawthorn, Sydney and Collingwood. Franklin kicked five goals against St Kilda, taking his career tally to 467 goals. Another note of interest is that Buddy wears number 23, as did Dermie during his Hawthorn days. Franklin has played 148 games for the Hawks. Dermott kicked 427 goals in 189 games for the Hawks 1982-92 before crossing to Sydney for seven goals in seven games in 1994. He finished his career the following year with 30 goals in 15 games at Collingwood, wearing different numbers at the two clubs.
