Most Club Finals: Adam Goodes and Jude Bolton (SYD) both played their 22 finals match in the Preliminary Final against Collingwood. This is a club record for the duo.

Brothers in Rival Finals Team: Sam Reid (SYD) and Ben Reid (COL) became the eleventh pair of brothers in League history to play in opposing sides in a Finals match. They join the following sets of brothers: Belcher (1912, Alan for Essendon and Vic for South Melbourne), Healy (1987, Geard for Sydney Swans and Greg for Melbourne), Jakovich (1991, Allen for Melbourne and Glen for West Coast), Jarman (1993, Andrew for Adelaide Crows and Darren for Hawthorn), Crawford (1996, Shane for Hawthorn and Justin for Sydney Swans), Sholl (1996-97, Craig for North Melbourne and Brad for Geelong), Wakelin (2003, Shane for Collingwood and Darryl for Port Adelaide), Voss (2004, Michael for Brisbane Lions and Brett for St Kilda), Johnson (2004, David for Geelong Cats and Mark for Essendon) and Selwood (2011, Joel for Geelong Cats and Adam and Scott for West Coast).
