Most Combined Games by a Father/Son pair: Gary Ablett Jr plays his 248th game in Round 18. Gary Sr played 248 games for Hawthorn and Geelong. The pair's combined tally of 496 games puts them equal with John Scarlett and son Matthew in fifth place on the AFL list for most games by a father and son pair. Ahead of them are Fletcher 640 games (Ken 264 and Dustin 377 through Round 18), Tuck 593 (Michael 426 and 168 for Shane through Round 18), Silvagni 551 (Sergio 239 and Stephen 312) and Cloke 522 (David 333 and Travis 189). Behind them are Watson 475 (Tim 307 and Jobe 168), Whitten 465 (Ted Snr 321 and Ted Jr 144), Tuck 446 (Michael 426 and Travis 20) and Richardson 418 (Wayne 277 and Mark 141).
Most Games Without a Finals Appearance: Chris Newman (RICH) plays his 230th game in Round 18. This will put him equal with Trevor Barker (StK) for most games without a Finals appearance. They are followed by Geoff Cunningham (224 games for StK), Gary Hardeman (219 games, MELB) and Steven Smith (203 games, MELB).
Career Wins: Dustin Fletcher (ESS) played in his 222nd career win in Round 17. The next Bomber victory with him in the side will put him equal with Simon Madden in fourth place on the League list for most career wins.
