by Lisa Albergo reporting for AFANA from Chicago

It was a very quiet week for the Match Review Panel and the Tribunal as there was only one match day report to be reviewed. Collingwood's Harry O'Brien was reported for striking Essendon's Henry Slattery. The MRP dismissed the report, stating that O'Brien had slipped as kicked the ball while approaching Slattery and that O'Brien raised his arms up in a protective manner which resulted in accidental high contact with Slattery. The MRP ruled that it was not a striking action or a reportable offense.
