Charges Laid:
Jake King (RICH), striking Port Adelaide's Justin Westhoff: assessed as reckless conduct (two points), low impact (one point) and body contact (one point), equaling four activation points, a Level One offense, 80 demerits and a reprimand. King has a record of three games suspended within the past three years which increases the penalty 30% to 104 demerits. He also has 41.80 demerits held over from the past year for a total of 145.80 demerits and a one game suspension. He accepted, reducing the penalty 25% to 109.35 demerits, still a one game suspension with 9.35 demerits held over toward his future record. Since Richmond will not be contesting the finals this year, King will miss the opening round in 2011 with this suspension. He will be allowed to play in the preseason games.
