Both Collingwood and St Kilda have made minimal changes to the teams which will line up for the Grand Final replay. One good news story is Saint Ben McEvoy, who played 18 games this season as a back up ruckman to Michael Gardiner. He was shattered when told by the coaching staff that he would not be playing in last week's Grand Final. However, number one ruckman Michael Gardiner spent the second half of the Final on the bench with a hamstring tear. The club was hoping he would recover and be able to take his place in the side for the replay but that has not happened and young McEvoy now has his chance.

Collingwood decided to drop Leon Davis due to his ineffectiveness in the Grand Final. Davis had only 6 possessions for the match and kicked one goal. In his place comes running defender Tyson Goldsack who was named to the interchange. SImon Prestigiacomo, who withdrew from the named team last week due to injury, has also been named on the interchange bench.
