Jonathan Brown's second goal late in the third term against the Suns was his 500th career goal. He is the first player in the club’s history to reach the mark. Docker Matthew Pavlich kicked a goal in Round 4 and one in Round 5. He needs five more to become the first Docker in Fremantle's short history to boot 500 goals.

Chad and Kane Cornes, who were on opposite sides in the Round 4 game between Adelaide and GWS, are now equal ninth on the all-time list for most League games by brothers. The leaders are the Maddens with 710 total (378 for Simon and 332 for Justin), Nankervis (578 games comprising 325 for Ian and 253 for Bruce), Coventry (533 games, 227 for Syd and 306 for Gordon), Richardson (518 games, 277 for Wayne and 241 for Max), Wakelin (513 games, 252 for Darryl and 261 for Shane), Rocca (499 games comprising 257 for Saverio and 242 for Anthony), Matthews (487 games, 332 for Leigh and 155 for Kelvin), Hocking (473 games, 199 for Stephen and 274 for Garry), Collier (470 games, 253 for Harry and 217 for Albert), and the Cornes bothers (468 games, 242 for Chad and 226 for Kane).

Essendon defender Dustin Fletcher played his 350th game in Round 3. Round 4, being his 351st, elevated him past Bulldog champion Doug Hawkins into 11th place on the all-time list for games played. The leaders are Michael Tuck (HAW, 426 games), Kevin Bartlett (RICH, 403 games), Robert Harvey (St K 383 games), Simon Madden (ESS, 378 games), Craig Bradley (CARL, 375 games), Bernie Quinlan (Fitzroy, 366 games), Brad Johnson (WB, 364 games), John Blakey (NM, 359 games), Bruce Doull (CARL, 356 games), Paul Roos (Fitzroy/SYD, 356 games), Dustin Fletcher (ESS, 350 games) and Doug Hawkins (350 games).
