Please note: Decatur is a small private island with about 55 full-time residents and a number of part-timers. It is accessible by water taxi (from Anacortes), boat and plane. The only public access is the County Ramp at Davis Bay. Decatur Shores Community Association operates a dock and an airfield but permission is required to use these facilities. If coming by your own boat, you need to anchor away from the dock. For more details, contact John Burbidge at (360) 375-6244 or (360) 202-5747.
Starting time of the event: 7:30 PM

Additional Information:
We have been holding AFL Grand Final parties on Decatur for a number of years. They started small and have become one of staples of the island social calendar. They have also grown from being a purely footy affair to a celebration of Australiana, with lots of Aussie treats -- meat pies, pavlovas, lamingtons, vegemite snacks, wine, beer and more. Participants are encouraged to help with these and come in the colours of their chosen team. A betting pool (pick the winning team and points margin) adds to the festivities. Given the time of the event, if you are coming from outside the island, we would need to arrange overnight accommodation for you.
