Docker Thornton Retires

Fremantle defender Scott Thornton broke a leg in early June while playing in the WAFL. At the end of June, he announced his retirement from football after just 88 games. Thornton, who managed just two senior games at WAFL level, said that he had given plenty of thought to his decision and that another round of rehabilitation would be too draining.
