Fun looking up AFL stadiums in Google Earth

Google Earth is such an awesome programme. I ended up trying to see if I could find all the AFL stadiums. It's neat to get some perspective of where they all are in relation to each other like that on a Satellite image. The MCG, Telstra Dome, and even Skilled Stadium I found easily.

Re: Google image of stadiums

I just watched the Bulldogs v Port game which was played in Darwin - June 13/09. I too like to have a look at the stadiums to get some perspective, so I found TIO Stadium in maps.google.com. You can get to it by entering "TIO Stadium, Darwin, Australia" as the address, and zooming in using the satellite view. Notice the center bounce zone? It's off-center to one side because, I suppose, there was too much wear in the exact middle. I don't know when that pic was taken, and it certainly wasn't like that during the recent game. I wonder how common that is? Maybe just for local games and it would never happen for an AFL game? A curious Canadian wants to know. Eye-wink Rob
