Ahead of the preseason draft, clubs are required to submit the names of players they intend to include on their rookie lists. Delisted and out of contract players were also required, by November 23, to submit their names for the preseason draft. The AFL has released the following information and has allowed a number of players to train with clubs ahead of the preseason and rookie drafts.

International Player Inclusion on Rookie List: Collingwood - Paul Cribbins (Ireland)
Players not Registered or Played for Three Years inclusion on Rookie List: Geelong Cats - Ryan Bathie (basketball)
NSW Scholarship Player and International Scholarship Player inclusion on Rookie List:

Tuesday November 30: Previously Listed Players or Draft Nominated Players Deadline. Gold Coast FC may nominate up to 10 players whose nomination is current for the 2010 Draft but who have not previously been on a Club List or a Primary List.
Tuesday November 30: GWS Zone Access. Team GWS to nominate up to 16 draft-eligible players from NSW/ACT outside the current NSW scholarship region.
Tuesday December 7: NAB AFL Preseason Draft Meeting; Brisbane Lions, Gold Coast and Sydney Swans Pre-Selected Rookie Nominations; NAB AFL Rookie Draft Meeting.
Friday December 10: Team GWS to Nominate up to 12 17 year-olds born between January 1 and April 30, 1993.
