Charges Laid:

Matthew Carr (FRE), striking Adelaide's Nathan Bassett: reckless conduct (two points), medium impact (two points), and high contact (two points), equaling six activation points, a Level Three Offense, 225 demerits, and a two game suspension. He has no applicable good or bad record and accepted, reducing the penalty 25% to 168.75 demerits and a one game suspension.

Shane Crawford (HAW), fined $2400 for a second offense of abusive and insulting language toward an umpire. He accepted the penalty, reducing the fine 25% to $1800.

Cameron Wood (BRIS), striking Carlton's Cain Ackland: intentional conduct (three points), low impact (one point), and body contact (one point), equaling five points, a Level Two Offense, 125 demerits, and a one game suspension. He has no applicable good or bad record and accepted, reducing the penalty 25% to 93.75 demerits and a reprimand.

Lenny Hayes (STK) reported for striking Kangaroo Lindsay Thomas: The Match Review Panel (MRP) reviewed the match day report and ruled that Hayes was trying to spoil Thomas' attempted mark and in doing so made initial contact with the ball. They further ruled that Hayes' follow through made contact to Thomas' face and did not constitute a striking action and cleared Hayes of the charge.

Luke Hodge (HAW), reported for striking Essendon's Matthew Lloyd: The MRP ruled that Hodge made contact with the top of Lloyd's head with an open hand in an attempted tackle. The action was not considered a striking motion, clearing Hodge of the charge.

David Hille (ESS), reported for striking Hawk Beau Muston: The MRP cleared Hille, ruling that in the course of a scuffle, Muston confronted Hille and contact between the two was a forceful block which caused Muston to go to ground. The action was not considered to be a strike and the panel threw out the charge.

Kepler Bradley (ESS), reported for making forceful contact to the head of Hawk Grant Birchall: The MRP cleared Bradley, stating that the contact occurred as Bradley made a realistic attempt to contest for the ball.

Luke Hodge (HAW), reported for charging Bomber Damien Peverill: There was no clear video of the incident. The MRP ruled that Hodge's actions leading up to the alleged incident was a shepherd and not a charge. The MRP further ruled that Peverill leaving the field under the blood rule was due to a prior incident and not from contact between him and Hodge, clearing Hodge of the charge.

Ben Fixter (BRIS), reported for charging Carlton's Marc Murphy: The MRP ruled that contact between Fixter and Murphy occurred during a marking contest and that Fixter had his eyes on the ball for all but his last two running steps. When he realized a collision was inevitable, Fixter's action was one of self-protection and not a charge. Thus the report was thrown out.
