GEELONG
Defender Matthew Egan required surgery to repair the broken navicular bone in his foot, ruling him out of the finals series. Egan will not be allowed any weight-bearing on the foot for several weeks and will be monitored closely by club medical staff.

Max Rooke is being considered as a replacement. Rooke spent several weeks in Germany recently undergoing a radical treatment on his badly torn hamstring.
