The AFL draft was held on November 27. Here is a club by club list of all the new faces. The number before the name is the player's draft number. In parentheses are the club he played for followed by his height and weight. The profiles are a summation of information from afl.com.au and Inside Football.

ADELAIDE
14. Jake Lever (Calder Cannons, 6'3", 185)
Competitive and aggressive tall defender who can shut down opponents. Reads the play well, already has a very professional attitude, time trials indicate he could push into the midfield, a potential future captain. The Crows believe Lever could be the replacement they need for the retired Nathan Bock.

35. Harrison Wigg (North Adelaide, 5'8", 163)
Small defender who is an excellent kick. Was named South Australia MVP at the national tournament.

43. Mitch McGovern (Claremont, 6'2", 185)
Strong marking (catching the ball) tall forward who knows how to position himself to advantage in a contest positions his body very well in the contest. Agile, good foot skills and a great vertical leap, younger brother of West Coast's Jeremy McGovern.

58. Harry Dear (Sandringham Dragons, 6'4". 178)
Developing ruckman/tall forward who marks strongly, uses his bulk well. Son of former Hawk Paul Dear.

BRISBANE LIONS
44. Liam Dawson (Aspley, 6'2", 178)
Uses the ball effectively by hand and foot, makes good decisions, attacks the ball well at ground level and in the air, can play a variety of positions, but needs to work on his endurance. Member of Brisbane's academy program.

61. Harris Andrews (Aspley, 6'6", 209)
Tall defender and back-up ruckman, can also play forward, is good at ground level, reads the flight of the ball well and can tale a contested mark (catch of the ball), has good skills and hands.

65. Josh Watts (Glenorchy, Tasmania, 6'3, 165)
A key-position player who can play both forward and back, athletic, use the ball well and can take a good mark. Lightly built so may need time in the gym.

73. Jaden McGrath (Bendigo Pioneers, 179cm, 73kg)
Prolific ball winner who makes good decisions, can take freakish marks and kick freakish goals, small forward who can turn games.

81. Josh McGuinness (Lauderdale, 6'2", 158)
Uses the ball well by hand and foot, a good decision maker with good awareness and can play both ends of the ground. Has some speed.

86. Josh Clayton (Sandringham, 6'2", 180)
Athletic and a good mark (catch of the ball), can play a variety of positions. Son of Scott Clayton so was a father-son selection.

CARLTON
19. Blaine Boekhorst, (Swan Districts, 6; 165)
Speedy, agile ball-winning midfielder, uses the ball well and brings skills from his volleyball background.

28. Dillon Viojo-Rainbow (Western Jets, 6', 176)
Can play defense, midfield and forward, has speed and endurance, kicks the ball well and can kick goals from a long way out.

60. Clem Smith (Perth, 5'8", 169)
Energetic small running defender/midfielder who can break the game open with his ferocious attack on the ball, has speed and agility and is a strong mark (catch of the ball) and long kick. Will need to build his endurance.

63. Jayden Foster (Calder Cannons, 6'3", 200)
Could have gone to the Bulldogs under the father-son rule, strong, agile and reliable in front of goal.

COLLINGWOOD
5. Jordan De Goey (Oakleigh Chargers, 6'1", 180)
Competitive, agile and versatile medium defender/midfielder, kicks the ball well, makes good decisions, can get into the right position, strong overhead and one on one contests.

9. Darcy Moore (Oakleigh Chargers, 6'5", 205)
Tall forward or defender with excellent closing speed and natural leap. Strong overhead mark, excellent leadership skills. The son of Peter Moore, taken as a father-son selection.

30. Brayden Maynard (Sandringham, 6'1", 193)
Left footer with powerful kick, excellent evasive skills and rarely beaten one on one. Very competitive and physical but will need to build endurance. Son of Adelaide's Peter, who played 98 games in the SANFL, so was just short of the requirement for the Crows to take him under the father-son rule.

48. Matthew Goodyear (Calder, 6'1", 176)
Athletic medium midfielder with elite speed, Can break through packs but may need to work on his kicking and ball disposal skills.

ESSENDON
17. Kyle Langford (Northern Knights, 6'2", 167)
Athletic tall defender/forward that has excelled at both ends this year. Reads the play exceptionally well in the air and has clean hands. Provides run from defense, can also play on a wing. Was in the top 5% in most tests at the draft combine.

20. Jayden Laverde (Western Jets, 6'2", 180)
Smooth moving medium midfielder/forward with neat disposal skills. Can turn opponents inside out with his agility and is dangerous around goals. Has a great vertical leap so is strong in the air and good speed for his size.

FREMANTLE
13. Lachlan Weller (Southport, 181cm, 74kg)
Athletic medium midfielder with speed, endurance, poise and excellent hand and foot skills. Can get to space and has good vision, evasive and finishing skills. Brother of Saint Maverick.

34. Connor Blakely (Swans Districts, 6'2", 185)
Speedy midfielder with excellent ball-winning and evasive skills, excellent at stoppages, great endurance so can run all day.

54. Ed Langdon (Sandringham Dragons, 5'9", 163)
Medium forward with excellent speed, endurance and goal sense, could also play midfield. Brother of Collingwood's Tom.

68. Josh Deluca-Cardillo (Subiaco, 5'9", 176)
Exciting small, fast midfielder with strong endurance and fierce attack on the ball, applies good defensive pressure but needs to work on his skills when under pressure.

GEELONG
10. Nakia Cockatoo (Northern Territory, 6'1", 189)
Powerfully built medium forward/midfielder, runs hard and kicks well. Tested well at the draft combine winning the repeat sprint and kicking tests.

47. Cory Gregson (Glenelg, 5'7", 161)
Agile small forward with dynamic foot skills. Can push into midfield and excels around stoppages, has good evasive skills and chases and tackles well in the forward line.

55. Dean Gore (Sturt, 6'6", 189)
Hard at the contest, good ball-winning skills, well-balanced, can play halfback, midfield, wing and forward. A student of the game, is driven, good endurance. Played some senior games with Sturt in the SANFL.

59. Jordan Cunico (Gippsland Power, 6', 163)
Speedy, can run all day and turn a game, Can play midfield, forward and defense, a very good kick and good with his hands.

GOLD COAST
8. Peter Wright (Calder Cannons, 6'6", 224)
Tall forward who can take a turn in the ruck. A long, accurate shot for goal and sound overhead mark (catch of the ball). Very good below his knees and has great running capacity.

15. Jarrod Garlett (South Fremantle, 5'9", 161)
Speedy, agile small midfielder/forward who can use his pace to break through traffic and had good skills on both sides of his body. Cousin of Cruize, Jeff, and Dayle Garlett.

29. Touk Miller (Calder Cannons, 5'8", 176)
Dynamic small midfielder with good speed, agility and elite endurance. A prolific ball winner who can go forward, takes a good mark (catch of the ball) and kick goals.

GWS GIANTS
4. Jarrod Pickett (South Fremantle, 5'8", 165)
Small forward/midfielder with electrifying speed which he can use to break lines and break a game open, smart around goals and has excellent endurance. Takes a good grab and can play in defense as well.

6. Caleb Marchbank (Murray Bushrangers, 6'3", 196)
Mobile, competitive, creative and versatile forward or defender, can play tall or small, reads the play well, is an excellent mark (catch of the ball), kicks well on both sides of his body and has leadership qualities.

7. Paul Ahern (Calder Cannons, 5'9", 180)
Agile and speedy midfielder with good endurance, strong in the air for his size and could play half forward and uses the ball well.

23. Patrick McKenna (Gisborne, 6'1", 167)
Australia's Under-19 cricket captain but quit cricket for footy. Kicked 16 goals for Gisborne's Under-18 side in one game and kicked 45 goals in 18 senior games. A strong runner who uses the ball well.

24. Jack Steele (ACT, 6'1", 180)
Strong, powerful midfielder/forward, strong overhead, always seems to have time when he has the ball, has a great work ethic.

85. Jeremy Finlayson (GWS Academy, 6'4", 191)
Developing tall who could play forward or back, a nice kick.

HAWTHORN
31. Dan Howe (Murray Bushrangers, 6'2", 187)
Mobile tall defender who can also play midfield and go forward. Good in the air, has clean hands, makes good decisions under pressure, excellent disposal skills and can hit a target from long range.

49. Teia Miles (Geelong Falcons, 5'9", 150)
Small defender/forward who is creative in setting the game up with his rebound out of defense, Effective when he has the ball and a good decision maker, can also play midfield.

50. Marc Pittonet (Oakleigh, 6'6", 220)
Highly competitive and aggressive ruckman who gives his players first use of the ball, good in the air and smart. Has worked with a personal trainer for two years concentrating on his fitness and agility so knows what is required to succeed.

MELBOURNE
2. Christian Petracca (Eastern Ranges, 6'1", 202)
The talk of the town ahead of the draft with almost unanimous speculation that St Kilda would snap him up. Rated as one of the best - if not the best - at junior level. A state basketball representative as a junior so brings that skill set along, strong overhead and at the clearances, he can play midfield and forward. Extremely competitive and makes good decisions under pressure.

3. Angus Brayshaw (Sandringham Dragons, 6'1", 200)
Midfielder with good skills on both sides of his body, reads the play well, a clearance specialist.

40. Alex Neal-Bullen (Glenelg, 5'9", 169)
Midfielder who is not overly quick, but has excellent endurance and evasive skills, quick and clean hands when he has the ball and uses it well. Very good at the stoppages.

42. Billy Stretch (Glenelg, 6'2", 156)
Strong running midfielder who played senior football with Glenelg. Son of Steven Stretch so was a father-son selection.

53. Oscar McDonald (North Ballarat Rebels, 6'4", 185)
Tall defender who can also play forward, is strong overhead and reads the play exceptionally well.

NORTH MELBOURNE
6. Sam Durdin (West Adelaide, 6'4", 193)
Tall defender/ruckman who is strong overhead, good below his knees and good with his hands. Aggressive in the contest and strong one on one. Played some senior games with West Adelaide.

25. Daniel Nielson (Eastern Ranges, 6'3, 202)
Strong bodied defender who can shut down opposition forwards, is rarely beaten and can clear the ball from defense. Also can go forward.

36. Ed Vickers-Willis (Sandringham Dragons, 6'2", 183)
Athletic tall defender who makes good decisions. Makes good decisions and uses the ball well by hand and foot, has a team first attitude, could eventually play in the midfield as well as defense.

PORT ADELAIDE
56. Dougal Howard (Murray Bushrangers, 6'5", 200)
Tall key position player who is good by hand and foot, tested well at the draft combine in the sprint and repeat sprint tests, Is an excellent target when playing forward.

69. Logan Austin (Belconnen, 6'4", 191)
Tall, versatile defender who can play forward and midfield. Has excellent closing speed and can take a strong mark (catch of the ball).

78. Jesse Palmer (North Ballarat Rebels, 6'2", 178)
Speedy forward who is good in the air and in one-on-one contests.

84. Billy Frampton (South Fremantle, 6'5", 198)
Athletic, agile and mobile ruckman/forward, good decision maker and a great leap.

RICHMOND
12. Corey Ellis (Western Jets, 6', 185)
Tough, courageous midfielder, has smarts and endurance, uses the ball well, makes good decisions and can find and hit teammates in better positions, tackles well.

33. Connor Menadue (Western Jets, 6', 152)
Excellent athlete that can break the lines with his speed. A defender but has ability to play other positions. Tested well at the draft combine for speed, repeat speed and endurance.

52. Nathan Drummond (Murray Bushrangers, 5'9", 187)
Tough medium midfielder with excellent speed and endurance, can also go forward. A good ball winner and clearance player. He finished in the top ten (with several second placings) in all but one area at the draft combine.

7. Daniel Butler (North Ballarat Rebels, 5'9", 174)
Exciting medium forward with speed and endurance, can break the lines.

77. Reece McKenzie (Northern Knights, 6'4", 235)
Tall forward who can pinch hit in the ruck, has good speed for his size and can take a strong contested mark (catch of the ball). A Tom Hawkins type.

ST KILDA
1. Paddy McCartin (Geelong Falcons, 6'3", 211)
Tall forward who leads well with his speed and is strong overhead, good hands, positions himself well, good evasive skills. Rated the best forward in the draft and can kick goals from anywhere around the 50-meter (55 yards) area. Likened to Jarryd Roughead and can develop into a real power forward. Also has a bit of mongrel about him.

21. Hugh Goddard (Geelong Falcons, 6'4", 206)
Versatile tall defender/forward that is strong overhead and an accurate left foot kick. Has leadership qualities, Cousin of Brendan Goddard.

22. Daniel McKenzie (Oakleigh Chargers, 6', 171)
Athletic, agile and speedy midfielder with excellent endurance. Excellent vertical leap.

41. Jack Lonie (Dandenong, 5'8", 152)
Busy small forward and is a penetrating left foot.

SYDNEY
18. Isaac Heeney (Cardiff, 6'1", 185)
Hard edged medium midfielder who excels in the one on one and contested situations Very good clearance player with a strong leap and could play forward.

37. James Rose (Sturt, 6'1', 171)
Powerful and athletic medium forward with excellent hands and natural leap. Penetrating kick. Loves physical side of the game. Can do the unexpected and has the ability to turn game. Needs to work on his consistency and defensive side of his game.

38. Jack Hiscox (Swans Academy, 6'1", 171)
Elite runner who set a new record for the 3 kilometer (1.8639 miles) time trial at combine.Has only played footy for four years, but ball use and game sense has improved.

70. Abaina Davis (Academy, 6'3", 189)
Strong mark (catch of the ball), competitive, good endurance and game smarts.

WEST COAST
11. Liam Duggan (Western Jets, 6', 165)
Versatile type who can play in defense, midfield and forward, uses the ball well and displays excellent leadership.

32. Tom Lamb (Dandenong Stingrays, 6'3", 185)
Tall forward/midfielder with elite endurance, can also play in defense.

51. Jackson Nelson (Geelong Falcons, ), 187cm , 81kg
Skilled midfielder/forward with excellent game sense, speed and uses the ball well by hand and foot. Likened to Port Adelaide's Travis Boak.

66. Damien Cavka (Calder Cannons,6', 174)
Athletic running machine, a midfield stopper or attacking defender.

76. Alec Waterman (Claremont, 6', 196)
Competitive midfielder who uses the ball well and kicks long. Has a great work rate but not overly quick so will need to work on endurance. Son of Chris so is a father-son selection.

WESTERN BULLDOGS
26. Toby McLean (Oakleigh Chargers, 5'9", 158)
Agile, prolific ballwinner and can take a strong mark (catch of the ball), Creative and has great awareness and can find teammates, not fazed by taggers. Ran second in the Morrish Medal (TAC Cup Brownlow equivalent).

27. Lukas Webb (Gippsland Power, 6'1", 176)
Medium forward who is strong overhead, does well in one on one contests, has clean hands, a good decision maker and reads the play well.

39. Declan Hamilton (SANFL Port Adelaide, 6', 150)
Medium forward who is very composed. Nephew of Crows' champs Andrew and Darren Jarman.

45. Bailey Dale (Dandenong Stingrays, 5'9", 154)
Lightly framed medium forward with quick hands. Will need time to mature and develop physically. Has confidence.

46. Caleb Daniel (South Adelaide, 5'5", 150), 167cm, 68kg
Talented small forward who is a prolific ball winner. Excellent decision-maker and has great endurance. Is also very fast, ran 20 meters (21 yards) in three seconds and finished first in the beep test at the draft combine.

62. Zaine Cordy (Geelong Falcons, 6'2", 183)
Tall defender who excels one-on-one. Can also play wing. Brother of Ayce Cordy and another father-son selection. Likened to Matthew Scarlett by the Falcons manager.
