All last year we have read about a number of things concerning attending games that have made fans angry. Ever since Andrew Demetriou stepped down as AFL commissioner there was a floodgate of complaints directed to new commissioner Gillon McLachlan. I get the impression that almost all of this dissatisfaction is largely confined to Melbourne. I also got the impression that AFL fans especially in Perth, Adelaide, Geelong, and Sydney are very happy. There always seems to be tremendous support for both teams in Perth. The fans in Adelaide seem crazy about the remodeled Adelaide Oval cheering so loud no one can hear the siren at the end of the game. The remodeling of the Stadiums in Geelong and Sydney are done now. Fans in Sydney seem very happy with the Swans being in the Grand Final two out of the last three years. And Buddy Franklin's first year with the Swans went really well. So, that just about confines the malaise to Melbourne. Are nine teams simply too many for one city? Have the Melbourne fans had their way for so long they have difficulty sharing the footy experience with the rest of the country? Are they burned out? From an Aussie's point of view, especially from someone outside Melbourne, I would appreciate your opinions.

Re: Complaints in Melbourne About Game Day Experience
Is the malaise in Melbourne easing up? I'm seeing more full seats in the stadiums in Melbourne on TV this year. Are fans and the AFL on better terms this year?
