TRIBUNAL
Charges Laid:
Luke Power (BRIS) & Andrew McQualter (StK), wrestling: it is the first such offense for both; it incurs a $1200 fine. Both players accepted, reducing the fine 25% to $900.
Tom Logan (PA), wrestling Andrew Swallow (KANG): it is his first offense, incurring a fine of $1200. Logan accepted, reducing the fine 25% to $900.
Nathan Bock (ADE), bumping or making forceful contact from front-on against Luke Darcy (WB): negligent conduct (one point), low impact (one point), and high contact (two points), equaling four points, a Level One Offense, 125 demerits, and a one game suspension. He has no applicable good or bad record. and accepted, reducing the penalty 25% to 93.75 demerits and a reprimand with the demerits held over toward his future record.
The Match Review Panel (MRP) reviewed the report laid against Collingwood's Anthony Rocca for rough conduct against Eagle Jaymie Graham. The panel ruled that Graham had disposed of the ball while running out of defense as Rocca moved a short distance to bump him. The panel further ruled that most of the contact made by Rocca was to Graham's chest and shoulder with slight contact to his neck and jaw. At no time did Rocca leave the ground and also had his elbow tucked in while Graham was in a position to protect himself. Under the circumstances, the MRP ruled that no report was required and dismissed the charge.
The MRP also reviewed and threw out the match day report against Docker Dean Solomon for striking Essendon's Angus Monfries. The panel ruled that while contact was made to Monfries' rib area after he had disposed of the ball, contact was minimal and not a striking motion.
