WASHINGTON, DC – The 2008 Australian Football League (AFL) season kicks off Monday, March 31st on MHz Worldview/MHz Networks 1, featuring Hawthorne vs. Melbourne.
Aussie Rules will continue broadcast each Monday at 8 PM EST, with a repeat at 11 PM, throughout the season.
With the exception of the grand final, matches are aired on a one-week delay.
The Aussie Rules one-hour highlight program premieres Wednesday, April 2nd at noon EST and continues throughout the season as well.
Fans have the ability to vote for the AFL match they would like to see each week by visiting a poll featured on the AFANA (Australian Football Association of North America) website. AFANA is MHz Networks' broadcaster partner, bringing AFL matches to fans in North America.
Viewers may visit www.afana.com/drupal5/mhzsurvey to participate in voting for which match will air each week this season. Viewers will also have the opportunity to win Footy-inspired merchandise sponsored by AFL, AFANA and MHz Networks by taking part in the online voting process.
