The Match Review Panel did not lay any charges from first week of Finals. The MRP did review the match day report against St. Kilda's Lenny Hayes for striking Geelong's Joel Selwood. The MRP deemed that, as Hayes began to fall to the ground, he reached out to grab Selwood in an attempt to break his fall. They further determined that Hayes' action was not a strike and dismissed the report.
