Sydney Hall Of Fame

The Sydney Swans recently held their Hall Of Fame ceremony, with Barry Hall and Craig Bolton the new inductees. The dinner gala also included the guernsey presentations as well as the announcement of club heritage listings. Hall joined the Swans in 2002 and played 162 matches, booting 467 goals. He ranks third on the club's all-time goal kicking table and led the club's goal kicking for seven consecutive seasons from 2002-2008. He was match day captain for the 2005 Premiership and co-captain in 2006 and 2007 alongside Brett Kirk and Leo Barry. Hall's successor as co-captain in 2008 was fellow inductee Craig Bolton.
AFL Hosts Concussion Conference

In late March, representatives from the various footballing codes and medical experts will hold a two-day conference to examine the current practices, treatment, research, effects and management of concussion in sports. Experts from around the world will be in attendance.
Dockers Break Bulldog Hoodoo
Since 2005 the Western Bulldogs have had the wood on Fremantle. The last time they played, Barry Hall sunk the Dockers almost single-handedly, booting a bagful of goals to help the Bulldogs run out 82 point winners. Big Barry was back in Perth again and no matter where they are on the Ladder, the Bulldogs always give a good account of themselves at the large Patersons Stadium.

Bulldogs Coach Follows Up Hall Incident

Bulldog Coach Rodney Eade contacted the AFL Umpire Department after the match against North Melbourne to discuss the incidents between Barry Hall and the North Melbourne players. He said Hall deserved more protection from the umpires and pointed out that Hall was denied several free kicks which should have been awarded. Umpire Director Jeff Gieshcen said that Hall did deserve a free kick after Scott Thompson knocked him over.
